Talbot’s, an Ann Taylor competitor, is also having a similar sale.
One of the Talbot’s sales staff said that the chain has instituted a new policy by which clothing is (in effect) churned each week. Incoming merchandise is featured in the front part of the store. Then it’s moved back and often discounted. And finally it goes to the back of the store, where it’s marked down significantly.
So keep an eye out for this phenomenon.
